"Papergraphy"

Sabeena Karnik

Sabeena is an artist and graphic designer residing in Mumbai, India. Specializing in paper sculpturing and acrylic murals, Karnik loves to work with paper and exploring its 'endless possibilities'. Creating 3D, calligraphy inspired typography sculptures, Karnik has produced a number of illustrations for magazines across the world. I am personally interested in Sabeena because of the amount of work that goes into each design and it requires a lot of patience an nurturing; making corrections is very difficult because it is paper.

Yulia Brodskaya

Yulia uses two simple materials-paper and glue, and a simple technique that involves the placement of carefully cut and bent strips of paper -to make lush, vibrant, three-dimensional paper artworks. Brodskaya started working as a graphic designer and illustrator in 2006, however quickly abandoned the computer programs in favour of paper art:
"Paper always held a special fascination for me. I've tried many deferent methods and techniques of working with it, until I found the way that has turned out to be 'the one' for me: now I draw with paper instead of on it".
