An Italian Design studio called Happycentro creates both pictures and text using only one euro coins for an advertising campaign:

I found out about this studio through this article.

The studio as a whole is really into using unconventional ways to create type by hand. In their other projects they use different materials such as wire to stitch together different types of cloth to create type. I found these ways of displaying type very visually appealing. It reminded me of Stefan Sagmeister in a way, just italian style.
